Aaron M. Johnson

September 26, 1976 — April 27, 2024

Weston, MA

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Aaron Michael Johnson aged 47. He passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024, in Care Dimensions Hospice Residence in Lincoln. He was a beloved father, husband, son, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Aaron was born on September 26, 1976, in Lubbock, Texas. He lived most of his early life in Tucson, Arizona, also spending time in South Carolina, Provo, Utah, and Brazil (where he served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints). He graduated from Santa Rita High School in Tucson and attended Pima Community College before graduating from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a BS in Linguistics and later Western New England University Law school with a JD.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Aaron was a devoted family man, who loved his wife and children above all else. Aaron met Weston native, Amy E. Woodside and they later married at The Manti Utah Temple. Married for 24 years, the last twenty years were spent in Massachusetts. They were blessed with two beautiful children. Aaron was dedicated to his children and cherished every moment spent with them. He loved being a baseball and football dad. Most recently his favorite leisure activity included taking pictures of his children’s team events.  He lived a life upheld by faith and service, always diligently serving in his church and seeking to uplift those in his community.

Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Vergene Fallis Johnson and his father-in-law, Frederick Woodside.

He leaves his wife, Amy E. Woodside Johnson and his children, Gabriel and Rebekah; his parents, Sam and Elaine (Hunt) Elrey of Tucson, Arizona; his siblings, Affee Johnson, Bill Elrey, Elise Elrey, all of Tucson, Arizona, Joseph Elrey (Annalisa) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Jeffree Elrey (Emilia) of Waltham and Pearl Elrey of Tucson, Arizona; his mother-in-law, Linda Day Woodside; brother-in-law, Justin Woodside (Sarah Armstrong Woodside) of Wayland; also survived many nieces and nephews.
