Adeline R. Shay

Waltham - Mrs. Adeline R. (Ricciardi) Shay, of Waltham, died Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Wingate of Needham. She was 85. Adeline was born in Waltham on December 30, 1924, a daughter of the late Sebastian and Rosalie (Vinci) Ricciardi and had been a lifelong resident of Waltham. She was a cake decorator for many years for Dorothy Muriel's Bakery in Brighton and for the past twenty-five years she worked at Eastern Coast Costume in Waltham. Adeline leaves her sister, Elvira Ricci of Groton and many nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late James F. Shay and sister of the late Anthony Ricciardi, Virginia Ricciardi and Josephine Weymouth. Family and friends will honor and remember Adeline's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
