Waltham – Mr. Adrian J. Provencher, of Waltham and Canterbury, New Hampshire, died peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at his home in Canterbury surrounded by his family. He was 86. Born in Quebec, Canada, a son of the late Aimee and Marguerite (Biron) Provencher, Adrian had lived in Waltham for the past sixty years and in Canterbury for the past twenty years. Until his retirement he worked as a self-employed master carpenter, a skill that he passed on to four of his sons. Adrian leaves his wife, Estelle M. (Roy) Provencher; his children, Robert Provencher of California, Michel Provencher, Vincent Provencher, Gabrielle McGrath, all of Waltham, Paul Provencher of Stow, Lucille Provencher of Waltham, Marc Provencher of Florida, Louise Heath of Utah, Helené Aucoin of Waltham, Martin Provencher of Sudbury and Adrienne Politis of Waltham; two sisters, Marielle Fournier and Hermance Provencher, both of Quebec; 23 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also a brother of the late Richard, Anthony and Bertrand Provencher, grandfather of the late Rachel Provencher and great-grandfather of the late Georgia-Rae Murphy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
