Agatha F. 'Diane' Maher

Waltham – Mrs. Agatha F. ‘Diane’ Maher, of Waltham, died Friday, March 18th at her home.

Diane was born in Waltham, a daughter of the late John and Gertrude (O’Reilly) Percy and had been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School and Bentley College. She worked as an accountant for many years for Dr. Bennett O’Neill in Waltham and later at Heritage Glass in Lexington. Diane was a longtime member of the PFC John M. Sullivan VFW Post No. 10334 Auxiliary in Waltham where she was a past president and chaplain and was also a member the Joseph F. Hill American Legion Post No. 156 Auxiliary in Waltham.

The wife of the late Thomas F. Maher, she leaves her sister, Jacqueline F. Kempinski of Waltham and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also a sister of the late Whitcomb Percy.

Family and friends will honor and remember Diane’s life by gathering to visit on Monday morning, March 21st, from 11:15 a.m. to 12 Noon in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
