Alan C. Stewart

Alan C. Stewart, age 71, of Norwalk CT, passed away March 24, 2014 in Norwalk Hospital.

Mr. Stewart was born on September 28, 1942 in Cambridge, MA and was the son of the late Francis J. Stewart, Jr. and Ruth Lindblad Stewart. Alan attended Waltham Schools and later attended college at North Park in Chicago. He was a Veteran of the U.S Army having served in the Vietnam War. He later re-located to Norwalk, CT where he first worked for Children's Services and later had been a Social Worker for the Darien Board of Education. He was voted Social Worker of the Year in 2004.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a brother Kendall F. Stewart; three aunts, Barbara K. Lindblad Fontaine, Dorothy Stewart Miller and Eleanor Stewart Nason.

He is survived by his nephew and nieces Steven K. Stewart, Susan L. Stewart Bent, Sandra M. Stewart, and Sheryl F. Stewart.

Family and friends will honor and remember Alan's life by gathering on Thursday, April 17th, at 11 am in The Joyce Funeral Home where his Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
