Waltham - Deacon Albert J. Aucoin of Waltham died Saturday, December 10, 2005 at Maristhill Nursing Home in Waltham. He was 83. Born in Waltham, a son of the late Simon and Aimee (Muise) Aucoin, he worked for the Raytheon Corporation as a mechanical engineer in the Microwave and Power Tube Division from 1950 until 1962. Until his retirement, he worked for John Hancock as a computer programmer. Deacon Aucoin attended Saint Johns Seminary in Brighton from 1941 to 1943, and in 1976 he became the Senior Deacon at Saint Josephs Church in Waltham until the closing of the church. He was a World War II veteran serving with the United States Navy. He was the father of the late Marie M. Aucoin and brother of the late Eileen Dennett. He leaves his wife, Therese A. (Pelletier) Aucoin; three sons, Jean A. Aucoin of Waltham, Roland P.J. Aucoin of Canton, and Roger F. Aucoin of Albany, New York; two brothers, Ernest J. Aucoin and Eugene J. Aucoin both of Waltham; eleven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 10 a.m. Wednesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham at 11 a.m. Burial will be in private. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Marist Missions, 29 Isabella Street, Boston, MA 02116.
