Albert J. Thompson

Waltham - Mr. Albert J. Thompson, Jr., of Waltham, died Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was 63. Born in Newton, a son of the late Albert J. and Dorothy I. (Cain) Thompson, he was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Waltham for many years. Albert was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Waltham Lodge No. 1018, an avid fisherman and longtime Nascar fan. He also had served with the United States Air Force. He is survived by his former wife, Lenore M. (Ouellette) Thompson of Waltham; his children, John C. Thompson of Bedford, Wayne J. Thompson of Waltham, Lori A. Hanson of Groton, Connecticut and Lisa J. Thompson of Worcester; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
