Saco, Maine - Mrs. Alberta B. Birdie Noni (Alberico) Emerson, of Saco, Maine formerly of Hopkinton, died Monday, July 16, 2007 at Kindred Hospital, Waltham surrounded by her family after a long battle with diabetes and kidney disease. She was 69. Born and raised in Waltham, a daughter of the late Beradino and Josephine (Lorenzo) Alberico, Alberta was a homemaker who had lived in Saco for the past twenty-five years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and was a former treasurer for the Maine Harness Racing Association. Alberta leaves her husband, David A. Emerson; her children, Jayne M. Emerson and her husband, Jason Miner, of Upton, Shane D. Emerson and his significant other, Robin Henry, of Hopkinton; one granddaughter, Brianna Touzjian of Upton; three sisters, Christine Gorman and her husband, Bill, of Hopkinton, Cora Bouchard of Mendon, and Sandra Dineen and her husband, Pat, of Toms River, New Jersey; her dear friend, Nancy (Hubener) Warner of Utah and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Albertas family on Saturday July 21st from 2 to 5 p.m. at the home of Jayne and Jason, 20 Taft Street in Upton.
