Waltham - Mrs. Albertine M. 'Sally' (Levasseur) Stankard, of Waltham, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007 in Saint Patrick's Manor, Framingham, after an illness. She was 100. Her husband, Paul M. Stankard died in 1976. She leaves two sons, Paul J. Stankard and his wife, Patricia, of Dedham, and Rev. Albert H. Stankard, Pastor of St. Stephens Church, Framingham; four daughters, Marsha Duprez, Dorene Miele and her husband, Paul, Colleen Stankard, all of Hudson and Albertine 'Deaton' Cahill of California; and a sister, Marie Farrell of Danvers. Sally was also the grandmother of 15, great-grandmother of 27 and also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was born August 11, 1906 in Peabody, a daughter to the late Joseph and Marie (Lussier) Levasseur and has been a Waltham resident since 1930. She was the sister of the late Dora Roy, Joseph, Leo and Raymond Levasseur, Blanche Caron and Cecilia Cappuccio Sally opened her own beauty parlor at the age of 19 and pursued this career during her whole life. She was a member of Saint Marys Church where she was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis. She was also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians; the Waltham Senior Citizens and Golden Age Club and was a volunteer for the Greater Waltham Association for Retarded Citizens. Sally loved doing arts and crafts for the many organizations to which she belonged. In her later years, she found great strength and joy by following the Mass and rosary daily on Boston Catholic Television. Relatives and friends invited to attend the Funeral Saturday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, Waltham, followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Marys Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boston Catholic Television, 55 Chapel Street, Newton, MA 02458 or to St. Stephens Church, 221 Concord Street, Framingham, 01701.
