Waltham – Mr. Alfred H. ‘Fred’ Emberley of Waltham died Friday, July 1, 2005 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 74. Born in Chelsea, Mr. Emberley had lived in Watertown before moving to Waltham in 1965. He was employed as a millwright for Cabot, Cabot, & Forbes in Boston until his retirement in 1995. Mr. Emberley was a Korean War veteran who served with the U.S. Navy. He was the husband of the late Theresa M. (Doyle) Emberley and the son of the late Henry and Edith (Keats) Emberley. Mr. Emberley is survived by his children, Sandra J. Cook and her husband Alan, of Norton, Fred H. Emberley, Jr., Karen D. McKeon and her husband Michael, and John C. Emberley, all of Waltham; his grandchild, Shannon T. Cook; his brothers, Thomas Emberley of Waltham and Richard Emberley of Framingham; and his best friend and companion, June E. Arnold of Waltham. The Funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Service in Christ Church, 750 Main Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
