Waltham Mr. Alfred Hachey of Waltham died Sunday, July 27, 2003 in the Newton Healthcare. He was 79. Mr. Hachey was a lifelong Waltham resident who was a self-employed builder, retiring in 1990. Mr. Hachey was a volunteer for the Wheels of Happiness where he was named Man of the Year in 1995. Mr. Hachey served in the U.S. Army during World War Two. Mr. Hachey was the son of the late Alphe and Alvina (Boudreau) Hachey and the brother of the late Gerard Hachey and Sr. Yvonne Hachey. He is survived by his wife, Anna (Maderosian) Hachey with whom he would have celebrated fifty seven years of marriage this September; his son, David Hachey and his wife, Nancy, of North Billerica; his daughter, Diane Kakis and her husband, Manny, of Westford; his brother, Raymond Hachey of Florida; his sisters, Sr. Irene Hachey of Lexington and Theresa Casey of California; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held on Friday at 9 am from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Josephs Church, 519 Main Street, Waltham. Burial will be in Newton Cemetery, Newton. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8 pm.
