Alfreda J. Maccagnano

Waltham - Mrs. Alfreda J. (Parisi) Maccagnano of Waltham died Friday, September 23, 2005 at her home. She was 71. Born in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Angelo and Gaetana (Lentini) Parisi, she graduated from Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School and the Katherine Gibbs School in Boston. She had been a Waltham resident since 1962. Until her retirement she worked as a secretary in Superintendent's Office for the Waltham Public Schools. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the PFC John M. Sullivan USMC VFW Post No. 10334 in Waltham. The wife of the late Luigi S. Maccagnano, she leaves her daughters, Janice S. LeBlanc of North Billerica, Cheryl L. Goyette of Bedford and Cynthia A. Cassella of Needham; one sister, Mary Dagostino of Waltham; two brothers, Angelo ‘Buddy’ Parisi, of Waltham and Charles Parisi of Florida; 6 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also a sister of the late Luigi, Joseph and George Parisi. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Monday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
