Waltham – Mrs. Alice M. (Pouliot) Connolly, of Waltham, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge. She was 98.
Alice was born in Newton on February 10, 1912, a daughter of the late Arthur and Nellie (Landry) Pouliot, and had lived in Waltham for the past eighty years. She was a longtime parishioner at Saint Jude’s Church in Waltham where she had been a member of the Ladies Sodality.
The wife of the late Peter J. Connolly, she leaves her son and daughter-in-law, Irving P. ‘Pete’ and Claire M. Connolly of Waltham; her grandchildren, Peter J. Connolly and his wife, Lura Taylor, of Carlisle and Kathleen M. McClemmy and her husband, Richard, of San Juan Capistrano, California; her great-grandchildren, Sean McClemmy, Patrick McClemmy, Paul Connolly and Kim Rochette and many nieces and nephews.
She was also a sister of the late Joseph Pouliot, Flora Carpentino, and Agnes Hodge.
Family and friends will honor and remember Alice’s life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
