Alice M. (Romaniak) LaFountain

Waltham – Mrs. Alice M. (Romaniak) LaFountain, of Waltham, died Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Golden Living Center – Heathwood in Chestnut Hill. She was 88.

Alice was born in Rogers, Connecticut, a daughter of the late Dyonizy and Maryanna (Wojtowicz) Romaniak.

She worked in housekeeping at Waltham Hospital for 28 years up until the time she retired.

Alice was the wife of the late Ernest R. LaFountain and the sister of the late Chester, Longin and Wanda Romaniak.

She leaves her children, David E. LaFountain and his wife, Karen, of Framingham and Debra A. Freeman and her husband, Douglas, of Framingham; her sister Helen Peltier, of Weston; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Alice's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20),Waltham on Monday, January 23rd at 9 a.m. before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River St., Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
