Mrs. Alma T. (Cormier) Serval, of Waltham died after being comforted by her husband, Stanley and daughter, Irene on Thursday, September 20, 2018. She was 91.
Born on March 14, 1927 in Chisholm, Maine she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Nellie (Lacroix) Cormier. She married Stanley S. Serval Sr. on June 30, 1957 in Saint Mary's Church. She worked as an office clerk for Haymarket Kitchen and later for Store 24.
Alma was talented with knitting and crotchet, enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, trying new recipes from various cookbooks and the many cats she cared for throughout her life. She loved all types of music, especially country and played the acoustic guitar.
She is predeceased by her siblings, Rita Withrow, Christine Darling, Irene Orifice, Eleanor Currier, Edward, Wilfred and Norman Cormier.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, Stanley, she leaves their children, Evelyn A. Serval of Glenburn, Maine, Irene M. Serval of Waltham, Stanley S. Serval, Jr. and Thomas M. Serval, all of Waltham; her brother, George Cormier (Lillian) of Tennessee; nieces & nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Alma's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, September 26th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
