Waltham - From a young age Andrew Moschner was a loyal and fierce protector, and this continued throughout his thirty-nine years as son, husband and Marine. Andrew Edward Moschner was born September 3, 1984, in Queens, New York a son of George and Eileen M. Himes. Raised on Long Island in Dix Hill he graduated from St. Anthony’s High School and later studied at State University of New York at Binghamton.
Andrew joined the United States Marine Corps and served three tours of duty in Afghanistan once again remaining loyal and serving as a great protector. He saw first-hand the devastations and gruesome realities of war.
Post war he suffered quietly from the effects of the countless traumas he witnessed but made it his life’s work to help others, primarily his fellow comrades and veterans.
Andrew will be lovingly remembered as honorable, extremely compassionate and caring who in his own small ways did his best to help family and friends and make the world a little bit gentler…one person at a time.
His hobbies and interests included a challenging game of chess, learning and studying as much he could about history and simply being out in nature.
