Brighton – Mrs. Angela E. (Cocuzzo) Turner, of Brighton, died Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Saint Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton. She was 90.
Angela was born in Brighton on December 24, 1922, a daughter of the late Domenic and Angelina (DeLuca) Cocuzzo, and had been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Brighton High School.
Until her retirement she worked for a number of years as a quality control inspector at the Raytheon Company in Waltham. Widowed for more than thirty years, Angela devoted her life to keeping busy with work, her devotion to the Blessed Mother and always enjoyable evenings spent with her family and friends playing Bingo.
Her husband, Thomas F. Turner, died March 19, 1983.
She leaves her children, Thomas J. Turner and his wife, Esther, of Adams, Stephen A. Turner and his wife, Mary, of Waltham, Patricia T. Esposito and her husband, Joseph, of Revere and Kenneth M. Turner and his wife, Christine, of Walpole; her brothers and sister, Anthony Cocuzzo of Mashpee, Frank Cocuzzo of Woods Hole and Grace Ciccolo of Lexington; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Angela was also a sister of the late Carmen, Mary and Joseph Cocuzzo.
Family and friends will honor and remember Angela's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, June 3rd from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury.
