Waltham – Mrs. Angelina (Godino) Fragale, of Waltham, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at her home surrounded by family. She was 87.
Angelina was born in Calabria, Italy on April 14, 1927, a daughter of the late Francesco and Rosina (Morelli) Godino. Within months of their arrival the family with ten children were firmly established in their new home.
Within five years of arriving in America she'd learned the language, found a job outside the house and got her driver's license. Angelina was a lifetime learner and a seamstress by trade and by talent. She was able to create beautiful clothing from patterns she'd make herself and would work until the wee hours of the morning sewing for her family and for friends.
As the mother of ten she found time to make sure that each of her children were made to feel special, unique and loved. She brought her talent for cooking from the old country and would take great delight in seeing her large family gathered around her table sharing one of her amazing recipe's made with healthy doses of love.
Until her retirement Angelina worked at Unitrode in Watertown doing piecework, painting tiny computer semiconductor parts with the skill and steady hands of a surgeon.
