Waltham – Mr. Angelo Cianci, of Waltham, died Monday, July 18, 2022 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. He was 88.
Born on February 3, 1934 in Castel Grande, Italy, Angelo was a son of the late Vincent and Carmella (DeSantis) Cianci. Raised in Italy he immigrated to the United States in 1963 settling in Waltham. He had worked as a machinist for many years until his retirement.
Angelo was a proud member of the Sons of Italy in Watertown and enjoyed playing cards and bocce.
He leaves his son, David Cianci (Laura) of Westborough, his step-son; Stephen Bonica of North Port, Florida; his grandchildren, Davio, Domenic, Daimen, and David "Davey" Cianci, and Angelo Valente, Ryan LeBlanc, and Gina Cianci; his siblings, Lorenzo "Larry" Cianci (Maria), Anna Marinaro (Nicola), Rose Magno (late Mario), and Pierina "Perry" DiPace (late Nicholas), all of Waltham; his wife, Jean Cashes Cianci and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Angelo was also the father of the late Vincent Cianci and the grandfather of the late Stephen Bonica.
Family and friends will honor and remember Angelo's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, July 25th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Following cremation burial will take place on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
