Waltham - Mrs. Ann Marie (Kindregan) Barden, of Waltham, formerly of West Newton, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 in the Medway Country Manor Nursing Home in Medway. She was 85.
Ann Marie was born in Newton on December 12, 1923, a daughter of the late Thomas and Nora (Mullen) Kindregan and had lived in West Newton before moving to Waltham twenty years ago. Until her retirement she worked at Kings Department Store in Newton and at Kirsch Insurance in Waltham as a secretary for many years. She was also a member of the Sodality of Saint Bernard's Church in West Newton.
The wife of the late Emmett R. Barden, Ann Marie is survived by her children, James T. Barden and his wife, Nancy, of Sarasota, Florida, Eileen R. Brown and her husband, Richard, of Waltham, Jane E. Cedrone and her husband, David, of Holliston, Barbara A. Harlow and her husband, Richard, of Woodstock, Georgia, and Patricia S. Kingston of South Berwick, Maine; her sisters, Irene Mockler of Yonkers, New York, and Rita Delaney of Wellesley; fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was also a sister of the late Thomas Kindregan.
Family and friends will honor and remember Ann Marie's life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Route 20), Waltham on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Monday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Bernard's Church, 1523 Washington Street, West Newton, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
