Waltham – Mrs. Anna M. (Henry) Baillio, of Waltham, died Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge. She was 94.
Anna was born in Cambridge on September 26, 1921, the oldest of nine children born to the late Joseph and Martha Henry. She was raised in Cambridge and was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament High School.
A Waltham resident for more than sixty-five years she was a member of Our Lady's Parish. Until her retirement Anna worked as a records administrator at Metropolitan State Hospital.
Her husband of sixty-one years, Eckert M. Baillio, died October 2, 2005.
She leaves her children, Michael F. Baillio and his wife, Margaret, of Dunstable, Paul A. Baillio and his wife, Elaine, of Westford, John H. Baillio and his wife, Gail, of Newton, Thomas P. Baillio of Groton and James P. Baillio and his wife, Judy, of Franklin; her sisters and brother, Eileen Tierney of Woburn, Margaret Pater of Charlestown, Rhode Island, Dorothy Hufnagle of Canton and John Henry of Great Barrington; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Anna was also a sister of the late Joseph, James and Robert Henry and Marie Stafford.
Family and friends will honor and remember Anna's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, April 29th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
