Waltham – Mrs. Anna T. (McArdle) Cardarelli, of Westford, formerly of Waltham, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in the Westford House. She was 90.
Anna was born in Waltham on April 7, 1923, a daughter of the late James and Annie (Hardy) McArdle, and was a graduate of Saint Charles High School. Until her retirement in 1990 she worked as a customer service representative for the Jordan Marsh Company in Auburndale and before that worked for a number of years for the Raytheon Company.
She belonged to the South Side Seniors and had been active at Saint Charles Church and at Saint Jude Church. Anna had lived in Newton for thirty-three years before moving back to Waltham in 1994. She'd been living in Westford for the past three years.
Anna was the wife of the late Carmen D. Cardarelli and a sister of the late Arthur McArdle, Mary Batte, Francis McArdle, Catherine Terrasi, and Bernard McArdle.
She leaves many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Anna's life by gathering to visit in the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Saturday morning, March 1st from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
