Anna E. Squires

Waltham - Mrs. Anna E. (Delaney) Squires, of Waltham, died Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 77. Born and raised in Waltham, a daughter of the late James and Annie (Rhodes) Delaney, she worked for many years as a supervisor for Moe Blacks in Waltham. She was also a 1948 graduate of Saint Mary's High School. She was the mother of the late Barbara Andrews and sister of the late Dorothy Patterson. Anna leaves her husband of 54 years, Francis H. Squires; her children, William F. Squires of Chandler, Arizona, Stephen G. Squires and John M. Squires, both of Waltham, and Richard J. Squires of Norwood; one brother, James H. Delaney, Jr. of EL Paso, Texas; one grandchild, Edward J. Andrews III and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass for Anna will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visitation will be held prior to the Mass from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham.
