Mrs. Anne I. (Russo) Esposito, of Waltham, formerly of Watertown, died at home on Monday, June 23, 2014. She was 94.
Anne was born on November 15, 1919 in Watertown a daughter of the late Carmen and Angela M. (Parella) Russo and earned her high school diploma. She lived many years in Watertown as her husband owned the former Esposito Funeral Home on Main Street in Watertown and later moved to Waltham in the early 1970's. Her husband, Alphonse Esposito died on December 20, 1998.
Anne loved many things: Elvis Presley and the Beatles, Sunday trips to Revere Beach, Saturday shopping excursions in Boston, travelling, dancing and accompanying her husband to the various clubs and organizations he belonged to, time with her family and Sunday dinners.
In addition to her husband, Alphonse she is predeceased by her siblings, Clement, Joseph, Arthur, Anthony and Orlando Russo, Elvira Pinnone and Olivia Floridia.
She leaves her children, Rosemarie Restagno and her husband, Dominic of Waltham, David A. Esposito and his wife, Lauri of Boylston, John S. Esposito and his wife, Jean of Ashland and Cheryl A. Anastasi and her husband, Peter of Watertown; her grandchildren, Dominic Restagno, Julie Bonavita, Michael and Kristen Esposito, Christopher, Eric, Stephen and Nicholas Anastasi; a great-grandchild, Nicolino "Nico" Bonavita; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Anne's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Thursday, June 26th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Luke's Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Watertown.
Memorials in her name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
