Lowell—Mrs. Anne E. (Clafferty) Radosta, of Lowell, died on September 5, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was 95.
Anna, as she was called, was born in Charlestown on June 30, 1918, a daughter of the late Edward and Bridget (Doherty) Clafferty. She was the wife of the late Rocco Radosta. She was raised in Charlestown and after her marriage to Rocco she moved to Waltham in 1953. She was a wonderful homemaker and had a special affinity for children taking care of any child in need. Family was her priority and she adored all of her grandchildren.
She leaves her children, Joan Martorella of Billerica, Carmela Driscoll of New Hampshire, Charlene Clifford of Marstons Mills, Bette Alexander and her husband, George, of Burlington and James Radosta of New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Ashley and Kerry Alexander of Burlington, Stephen Martorella of Everett, Tara Martorella and her husband, Robert Weisenbloom, of South Chelmsford and her great grandson Rocco Martorella Weisenbloom. She is also survived by many nieces , nephews and step grandchildren. She is the sister-in-law of June Clafferty, Charles Radosta and the late Rose Radosta.
She was also the mother of the late Anne Marie Radosta, mother-in-law of the late Donald Clifford and the late Robert Driscoll. She was the sister of the late John Clafferty, Edward Clafferty, Margaret Clafferty, Ellen Clafferty and Mary Forbes.
