Anne K. Rhatigan

Waltham – Mrs. Anne K. (Hennigan) Rhatigan, of Waltham, died on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Meadow Green Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Anne was born in Co. Mayo Ireland, a daughter of the late Joseph G. and Catherine (Melody) Hennigan. She emigrated from Ireland during World War II and settled in Waltham with her husband, Michael, where they would raise their family.

The wife of the late Michael A. Rhatigan, she is survived by her children, Michael J. Rhatigan of Florida, Joseph G. Rhatigan and his wife, Patricia Coyle, of Hingham and John M. Rhatigan and his wife, Elaine, of Hudson and her sister and brother, Ellen Beatty of Watertown and Seamus Hennigan of Ireland. Anne was also the grandmother of six, great-grandmother of one and aunt to many.

She was a sister of the late Kathleen McNulty, Bridget McDonough, Mae Keaveney, Patrick, Michael, John and Thomas Hennigan.

Family and friends will honor and remember Anne's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, December 6th from 9 to 10 a.m. before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown.
