Anthony M. Sammarco

Boston – Mr. Anthony M. Sammarco Jr., formerly of Waltham, died unexpectedly at home Monday, February 26, 2018. He was 77.

Anthony was born October 30, 1940 in Waltham the only child of the late Anthony M. and Ethel T. (Palumbo) Sammarco. Born and raised in Waltham he graduated from Waltham High School. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education from Tufts University

Anthony was a Language Arts teacher at the Weston Middle School in Weston for many years before retiring.

He enjoyed travelling, movies and time spent with his family at the holidays and throughout the year.

He leaves his uncle, Paul Palumbo of Dennis and many cousins on both the Palumbo and Sammarco sides with whom he was very close.

Family and friends will honor and remember Anthony's life by gathering for a calling hour at 10 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, March 1st followed by his funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
