Waltham Mr. Anthony P. Vaglica of Waltham died Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the E.N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 81. Born in Boston, a son of the late Philip and Rosalie (Vitrano) Vaglica, he had lived in Waltham for the past seventy-eight years. During World War II he served with the United States Navy. Until his retirement, Mr. Vaglica worked as an electronics technician. He leaves his wife, Liliane M. (Boulay) Vaglica; his daughter, Laura A. Cryts and her husband, David of Derry, New Hampshire; two grandchildren, Leanne and Benjamin Cryts; three sisters, Constance Pitoniak of Waltham, Virginia Rando of Peabody and Janet Sorenson of Wakefield and many nieces and nephews. He was also a brother of the late Frank, Joseph, John, Salvatore and Anna Vaglica, Mary Aloisi and Frances Colandrello. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Calvary Cemetery, 250 High Street, Waltham. Memorials may be made to the High Hopes Foundation, 416K Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH 03054.
