Waltham - Mrs. Antoinette (Cormier) Babineau, of Waltham, died Wednesday September 20, 2017 in Leominster Crossings. She was 94.
Antoinette was born in Cocagne, New Brunswick on August 24, 1923, a daughter of the late Philip and Christine (Bourgeois) Cormier. She moved to Waltham in 1951 and until her retirement worked for the J.L. Thompson Company in Waltham.
She was devoted to her faith and was very active at Saint Joseph's Church in Waltham where she was a member of the Women's Guild. She also belonged to the Women's Auxiliary of the French-American Victory Club.
Antoinette leaves her husband, Valmont Babineau, and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
She was the sister of the late Noe Cormier, Edward Cormier, Paul Cormier, Francois Cormier and Rita LeBlanc
Family and friends will honor and remember Antoinette's life by gathering for calling hours in the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, September 22nd, from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
