Wellesley – Miss Antoinette M. ‘Anne’ Ferrera, of Wellesley, formerly of Waltham, died Monday April 25, 2011. She was 91.
Anne was born in Waltham on July 30, 1919, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Carmella (Vaccarello) Ferrera. She was a 1948 E. graduate of Bentley College and had worked as an accountant in Boston for many years before her retirement. Anne was a longtime member and past officer of the St. Mary’s Legion of Mary. In her spare time she loved to garden, read and cook. Her family will remember her for her kind and caring nature, always being there for those in need.
She was a sister of the late Raymond G. Ferrera and Rosalie E. Ferrera and aunt of the late Ralph M. Ferrera.
She leaves her nephew Gerald R. Ferrera and his wife, Judith, of Framingham and Ralph’s wife, Laura, of Wellesley and her grandnephew and grandnieces David, Lisa and Lauren.
Family and friends will honor and remember Anne’s life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Saturday April 30th at 9:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
