Waltham – Mrs. Antoinette J. "Toni" (Pitingolo) Neal, of Waltham, died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Carleton-Willard Village in Bedford. She was 91.
Antoinette was born in Cambridge on March 18, 1924, a daughter of the late John and Margherita (Procopio) Pitingolo. She was raised in Cambridge and was a graduate of Cambridge Latin High School.
A Waltham resident for the past sixty years she worked as an office manager for Elbert Advertising until her retirement. Throughout her life she cherished time spent with her family and her friends. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady's Church in Waltham and after retirement volunteered for many years as a reading instructor at Waltham elementary schools.
She leaves her son, Frederick A. Neal, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, of Lynnfield; her grandchildren, Peter C. Neal of Omaha, Nebraska and Lisa A. Neal of Pensacola, Florida; her brother, John Pitingolo of Arlington and many nieces and nephews.
Antoinette was also the sister of the late Agusta Pitingolo.
Family and friends will honor and remember Antoinette's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, March 30th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Committal services will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
