Antoinette ‘Anne’ (Memmolo) Parisi, of Waltham, formerly of Boca Raton, Florida, died peacefully Saturday, October 5, 2024, in Care Dimensions Hospice Residence in Lincoln. She was 95.
Antoinette Memmolo was born on May 5, 1929 in Dorchester, MA daughter of the late Carlo and Alvina (Vera) Memmolo. She graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School in Dorchester. Affectionately known to family and friends as ‘Anne’ she married Cambridge native Angelo A. ‘Bud’ Parisi on May 8, 1949.
Anne worked with her husband Bud to found and build Acme Bookbinding from a basement operation in their family home to a successful business. Anne did the books (literally) as well as managing billing, customer service and doing many production tasks. Anne was a worker. Anne never had a driver’s license, so she took the bus and walked. After retiring to Boca Raton Florida, Anne enjoyed long walks on the beach. She was a life-long reader who especially enjoyed the Boston Herald newspaper.
Anne leaves her sister Gloria Palazzo of Woburn MA, and children, Carole A. Parisi of Waltham, Paul A. Parisi and his wife, Margaret, of Lincoln and John B. Parisi and his wife, Barbara, of Billerica; her grandchildren, Kelly, Sean, Justine, Grant, Chase and Reid Parisi; and great-grandson, Zander.
Antoinette was preceded in death by her husband Bud, her brother Carl, and her grand-daughter Kelly.
Family and friends will honor and remember Antoinette's life on Wednesday, October 9th in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Waltham. There are no calling hours.
