Canterbury, New Hampshire – Mrs. Arlene E. (Hart) Chiasson, of Canterbury, formerly of Waltham and West Newton, died Sunday, October 16, 2011 at her home. She was 72.
Arlene was born in Waltham on May 16, 1939, one of ten children born to the late Bartholomew and Ariel (Morse) Hart. She was a graduate of Waltham High School and had lived in Waltham and in West Newton before moving to Canterbury. Until her retirement Arlene worked as the office manager for CFC, Inc. of Waltham. Before that she worked at the Sylvania Corporation and at Weston Manor Nursing Home.
She leaves her husband of 54 years, Ret. Waltham Police Sergeant Bernard A. Chiasson; her children, Laura Ferro of Belmont, New Hampshire, Atty. Janice Sullivan of Conway, New Hampshire, Carolyn O'Connor and Joanne Lemay, both of Canterbury, New Hampshire and Susan Larade of Natick; her brothers and sisters, Thomas Hart of Waltham, Norman Hart of Bedford, Lawrence Hart of Framingham, Marilyn Doyle of Northborough, Virginia Simpson of Sandwich, Barbara Thomas of Braintree, Pauline Larsen of Brockton and Patricia MacDonald of Waltham; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Arlene was also the mother of the late Dorothy Golledge and a sister of the late Donald Hart.
Family and friends will honor and remember Arlene's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, October 20th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 8 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
