Mrs. Arlene G. 'Cookie' (Tremblay) Manley, of Waltham, died Thursday, October 15, 2009 in her home. She was 65. Arlene was born in Cambridge on March 17, 1944 a daughter of the late Phillip and Gertrude (Gibson) Curra. She was a graduate of Watertown High School. She worked as a secretary for the W.H. Nichols Company and the A.B. Dick Company. She later worked as a housekeeper and nurse's aide in Newton. She is survived by her daughter, Colleen M. Considine, of Berlin, her grandchildren, Michael, Joseph, and Dylan Considine, her brother, Walter Tremblay and his wife, Joyce, of South Nashua, NH, her sister, Nancy Wiltshire and her husband, Robert, of Barto, FL, her brother- in -law, Ken Hough of Billerica, five nieces and two nephews. Arlene also leaves a close friend, Marie Gamble and her family of Waltham. Arlene was the former wife of James Manley of Milford, NH. She is predeceased by her sister, Patricia Hough. Family and friends will honor and remember Cookie's life by gathering at 11 am on Monday, October 19th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham where her Funeral Service will be held at 1 pm. Burial will be in Mount Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury.
