Waltham – Arline E. Crowe, of Waltham, died Thursday, July 23, 2015 in her home. She was 87.
Arline was born in Brighton on September 23, 1927, a daughter of the late Lester and Eva (Schools) Crowe, and had been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Waltham High School.
Until her retirement Arline worked as a group leader in the power tube division of the Raytheon Company in Waltham for thirty-nine years. Not having a driver's license never prevented her from traveling the city and beyond by bus and by walking daily. She shopped often on Moody Street and at the malls in Watertown and at home she loved walking her dog and solving puzzles.
Arline was the life partner of the late Kenneth A. Frye and the sister of the late Marjorie Polowicz.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret N. (Frye) Norcott and her wife, Deborah Norcott, of Waltham; her grandsons, Sean P. Nolan and Kenneth L. Nolan; her goddaughter, Laura Lambert and many wonderful relatives, friends and neighbors.
Family and friends will honor and remember Arline's life by gathering to visit at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning, July 28th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
