Waltham - Mrs. Arline M. (Maloney) Farago, of Waltham, died Thursday, March 3, 2016 in the Watertown Health Center. She was 88.
Arline was born in Newton on May 8, 1927, a daughter of the late Wallace and Lillian (Flagg) Maloney. She spent most of her life in Newton and was a graduate of Newton High School.
In 1956 she married Watertown native Anthony N. "Tony" Farago and the couple moved to Waltham in 1962 where they raised their family. As a dedicated wife and mother, Arline found much joy in being a homemaker.
She leaves her children, Robert P. Farago and his wife, Connie, of Westford, Bruce A. Farago, of Holliston, John J. Farago, of Waltham, and Lynne T. McPhail and her husband, Daniel, of York, Maine; her grandchildren, Michael, John, Rachel and Anthony Farago and Jennie, Emily and Sarah McPhail; her brother, Wallace Maloney, Jr., of Newton and many nieces and nephews.
Arline was also a sister of the late Kimball, Flagg, Merrill, and Aubrey Maloney.
Family and friends will honor and remember Arline's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, March 7th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Watertown.
