Waltham - Mr. Armand R. Gaudet of Waltham died Sunday, January 15, 2006 at Maristhill Nursing Home in Waltham. He was 88. Born in Saint Joseph, New Brunswick, Canada, a son of the late Henry and Tillie (Belliveau) Gaudet, he worked as an electrician at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jamaica Plain for twenty-nine years until his retirement. He was a member of the French-American Victory Club in Waltham, and enjoyed dancing and traveling. He was a World War II veteran serving with the United States Army. Mr. Gaudet had been a Waltham resident for the past sixty-five years. He was the brother of the late Rev. Oscar Gaudet, Leo, Aime, Adrien, Alma, Marie, Rita, Irene, Nellie, Cecile, and Sr. Florence Gaudet. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Andrea A. (LeBlanc) Gaudet; one son, Allan R. Gaudet and his wife Maureen (McMahon), of Glastonbury, Connecticut; his sister in law, Dora Gaudet of Waltham two grandsons, Mark Gaudet and his wife Leah, and Scott Gaudet and his fiancé Rachel Ussi, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road Waltham at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
