Arthur J. Burke Jr.

Mr. Arthur J. Burke Jr., of Salisbury, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 17, 2024. He was 72. 

Arthur was born on September 15, 1951, in Brighton a son of the late Arthur J. and Hannah Lorraine (Kelley) Burke and was raised in Waltham. He worked for many years as a tow truck operator for Whites Garage.   

Arthur had a wide range of interests; he was always social and could always chat about the Red Sox or The Beatles. He never missed General Hospital or the Channel 7 news.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time at the beach and camping. Arthur also found joy in cooking. Among his favorites to make was a homemade spaghetti sauce. 

He leaves his children, Heather D. Burke of Arlington, Stephanie A. Doyle of Stoneham, the late Eric L. Burke, Bruce H. Burke of Woburn, Marc S. Burke of Stoneham and their mother, Phyllis (Gorsun) Burke of Stoneham; his siblings, Ellen and Michael Thambash of Alton, New Hampshire, Timothy and Carole Burke of Billerica, Diane Hayes of Waltham, Michael and Paula Burke of Bellingham, Carol and James Conzo of Maynard and Marianne Burke of Waltham, and his many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Arthur's family would also like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff who provided compassionate care and support during his long illness. Your efforts will always be remembered.
