Shrewsbury - Mr. Arthur F. Cox, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Waltham, died Thursday, July 12, 2007 in his home. He was 89. Born and raised in Waltham, a son of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Ouilette) Cox, Arthur was a sand blaster for Artisan Industries in Waltham for forty-four years. Arthur was a member of the French-American Victory Club in Waltham and the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge No. 1018, in Waltham. Arthur was a World War II veteran serving with the U.S. Merchant Marine. Arthur was the husband of the late Mary Jean (DeSauliners) Cox and brother of the late Raymond, Harold and George Cox and Marion Champagne. Arthur leaves one daughter, Kathleen J. Parello and her husband, Ronald, of Shrewsbury; two grandchildren, Candice McDonough of California and Matthew Cox Parello of Shrewsbury and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
