Barbara R. (Nastasia) Berube

Mrs. Barbara R. (Nastasia) Berube, of Waltham, died Thursday September 14, 2017 in Wingate at Weston. She was 85.

Barbara was born in Newton on August 4, 1932, the daughter of the late Anthony and Cecelia (Sampson) Nastasia. Until her retirement she had worked in the cafeteria at Waltham Hospital and at Nova Bio-Medical.

She is survived by her children, Paul J. Berube, Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Watertown and Patricia Hines and her wife, Darlene, of Fort Kent, Maine; her siblings, Charles Nastasia of Oregon, Elizabeth Raynor of Washington and Janet Anderson of Oregon. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Barbara's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, September 19th from 6 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
