Mrs. Barbara J. Donovan-DeVitt of Weston, formerly of Lexington, died Thursday, July 7, 2005 in Brigham and Womens Hospital, Boston. She was 52. Born in Cambridge, Barbara had lived in Lexington before moving to Weston sixteen years ago. She was a registered nurse who worked at Brigham and Womens Hospital for twenty-five years. Barbara was a volunteer for Weston Elder Services and helped with school nursing in the Weston Public Schools. Barbara is survived by her husband, Douglas J. DeVitt; her daughter, Alexandra J. DeVitt of Weston; her mother, Miriam J. (MacDonald) Donovan of Lexington; her brother, Paul F. Donovan of Watertown; her sisters, Joanne Donovan of Lexington, Nancy K. Donovan of Lowell, and Mary-Jane Donovan of Cambridge; two nieces and two nephews. She was also the daughter of the late Edwin J. Donovan. Her Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, July 14, at 11 a.m. in Saint Julias Church, 374 Boston Post Road in Weston. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Weston. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham.
