Barbara Anne Hug

Mrs. Barbara Anne (Hayes) Hug, of Weston, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Sunrise of Weston. She was 87. She was the beloved wife of Hans A. Hug, Sr. and the loving mother of Hans A. Hug, Jr. of Exeter, New Hampshire, Peter C. Hug of Easton, Connecticut and Christopher N. Hug of Lincoln, Massachusetts. Barbara was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 23, 1921. She joined the United States Navy in 1943 as a nurse stationed in San Diego tending to the wounded from the Pacific War Theatre. After the war, she attended Bryant College in Providence earning a degree in Business Administration in 1949. She married Hans Hug in Philadelphia in 1951, subsequently moving to Weston in 1960. Barbara loved all animals, especially dogs. Honoring her wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Nashoba Valley. All friends are invited to a gathering to be held Sunday, April 6th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Josiah Smith Tavern, 358 Boston Post Rd. in Weston Center.
