Barbara F. (Bueler) (Grazioso) “Barbie” Morreale, 78, of Waltham, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at her daughter's home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Boston, Mass., on January 25, 1946. Barbara was the daughter of the late John and Josephine (Startz) Bueler. Raised in Quincy, Mass she graduated from Quincy High School where she went on to work in data entry for Bradlee's Department Store and later in customer service at Stop & Shop’s Home Office. Barbara lived in Quincy for many years and married Anthony D. Grazioso before moving to Weymouth where they made their family home.
She later married James Morreale and moved to Waltham.
She is survived by her husband, James Morreale; her daughter, Jaymel A. Grazioso-Irving of Newton; her grandchildren, Antonia Irving and Daniel Irving, both of Newton; her former son-in-law, Daniel Irving of Middleboro. She is a sister to Barry, James, Jack and Albert Bueler; also survived by nieces & nephews.
Barbara will be lovingly remembered as the life of the party and the woman who made all things fun and festive. She loved the holidays, decorated her home for the season and had outfits to celebrate the event. Barbara loved her Irish heritage and looked forward to St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. She was active in St. Joseph’s Parish for many years teaching Sunday School and organizing the Church Bazaars. She and Jim were members of various social clubs but especially loved the friendships formed at the South End Italian Club in Woburn where they would attend weekly dances.
Family and friends will honor and remember Barbara’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Monday, February 26th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning when her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree is private.
