Mrs. Barbara 'Buff' (West) Noble, of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, died on Monday June 2, 2014 at the Meadow Green Nursing Home in Waltham. She was 68.
Barbara was born on January 30, 1946 in San Mateo, California, the daughter of the late Frank and Constance (Lane) West. She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1968 earning her Bachelor of Arts degree. In January of 1969 she married Harry Noble, III in New Jersey. For thirty-five years the couple managed West & Noble Advertising, a business they had co-founded.
Barbara was a member of the Montclair Ski Club and loved all things about being on the slopes, especially the après ski socials where cheese and crackers were essential. She also enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of The Essex Bridge Center. She will always be remembered for her positive attitude and "18 grape" smile.
She was the wife of the late Harry Noble, III and is survived by her son Bradford Noble and his wife, Karianne, of Arlington; her grandchildren, William Carson Noble and Owen Papantones Noble; her sister-in-law Roxanne West of Winchester; her brother-in-law John Bruning of New York and leaves many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Jeffrey West, Daniel West and Anne Bruning.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in New Jersey.
