Barbara A. Voymas

Waltham- Miss Barbara A. Voymas of Waltham died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. She was 88. Miss Voymas was born in Waltham on August 15, 1924, a daughter of the late Constantine M. and Annie F. (Doherty) Voymas.

Barbara was a lifelong Waltham resident. She graduated from Waltham High School and was employed as a secretary for the Glynn Insurance Company, the Berry Insurance Company, and most recently, the Kirsch Insurance Company, until her retirement in June of 1999.

She was the sister of the late Charles M. Voymas, Marion C. Smith, and Frances Voymas.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Anna F. Stanton of Waltham, her brother, Donald E. Voymas of North Carolina, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Barbara's life by gathering on Monday, August 5th, at 9 am in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Service will be held at 10 am. Burial will be private.
