Beatrice N. Burns

Waltham – Mrs. Beatrice N. (Murphy) Burns, of Waltham, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Leland Home in Waltham. She was 83. Born in Waltham, a daughter of the late Thomas and Delia (Kearney) Murphy, Beatrice was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Waltham. She was a graduate of Saint Mary’s High School in Waltham. The wife of the late Edward R. Burns, she leaves her children, Sheila E. Callahan and her husband, Joseph, of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, E. Kevin Burns and his wife, Carol, of Reading and Thomas W. Burns and his wife, Louise, of Wayland; her grandchildren, Michael, Laura, Kathleen and Catherine; one brother, Joseph Murphy of South Yarmouth; one sister, Elizabeth Gallagher of Waltham and many nieces and nephews. She was also a sister of the late Bernard, Thomas, Francis and Catherine Murphy and Mary Ryan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 8 a.m. Friday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
