Waltham – Mrs. Beatrice M. (Lavoie) Maillet, of Waltham, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at her home. She was 75.
Beatrice was born in Rogersville, New Brunswick on May 2, 1941, a daughter of the late William and Yvonne (Gaudet) Lavoie. She was raised in Rogersville and moved to Montreal where she met her future husband, Bouctouche native Andre J. Maillet.
After the couple married in Montreal they moved to Waltham where they raised their family. Andre and Beatrice and their kids spent many happy summers on trips 'home' to New Brunswick.
In addition to her husband of fifty-four years, she leaves her children, France J. Maillet of Norwell, Michel J. Maillet of Hudson, Marlene M. Chartier and her husband, Tommy, of Shrewsbury and Rachel M. Maillet and her longtime companion, Matthew Forbes, of Medfield; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Julia and Olivia Maillet, Kayla and Ashley Chartier and Brooke Forbes; her brothers and sister, Real Lavoie, Antoinette Richard, Laurie Lavoie and many nieces and nephews.
Beatrice was also a sister of the late Calixe and Ella Lavoie.
Family and friends will honor and remember Beatrice's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, May 30th from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham
