Bernice L. McCammon

Mrs. Bernice L. (Hudson) McCammon of Lowell, formerly of Waltham, died Thursday, October 8, 2009 in the Willow Manor Nursing Home in Lowell. She was 98. Bernice was born in Marlborough on September 17, 1911, a daughter of the late Reuben and Rose (Sharpe) Hudson. She enjoyed cooking and knitting presents for her grandchildren. Bernice was the wife of the late Robert J. McCammon, the mother of the late Robert J. McCammon, Jr., the grandmother of the late Robert J. McCammon, III and Marilyn J. Gotzamanis, and the sister of the late Eleanor Boudreau, Gladys Kittridge, Belle Boyd, and Herman Hudson. She is survived by her daughter, Joan L. Brown and her husband, David, of Dracut, her daughter- in -law, Marjorie McCammon of Wayland, her grandchildren, Cheryl J. Floyd, David B. Brown, Jr., and his wife, Christine, Valerie L. Ayer, Glenn R. Brown and his wife, Marilou, Judith M. Campbell and her husband, Kenneth, Michael McCammon and his wife, Lisa, Stephen McCammon and his wife, Amy, Lynn Cribben and her husband, Thomas, and Kristin Brown and her husband, William; her sister, Ann Peterson of Marlborough, twenty great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will honor and remember Bernice’s life by gathering at 10 am on Wednesday, October 14th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham where her funeral service will be held at 11 am. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Memorial donations may be made to the Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center, In Memory of Marilyn J.
