Bertin J. F. LeBlanc

April 16, 1941 — July 19, 2020

Maynard – Mr. Bertin J. F. "Bert" LeBlanc, of Maynard, formerly of Waltham, died at home on, Sunday, July 19, 2020. He was 79 years old.

Bert was born in Ste. Marie, New Brunswick on April 16, 1941 to the late Antoine and Albertha (Poirier) LeBlanc. He was educated in Canada and moved to the United States in 1961. He had worked as a machine operator for the Weston Water Department for more than 29 years before his retirement.

He quickly became accustomed to his new home, and one of his happiest days came on September 4, 1965 when he married Elda Mazerolle in Saint Joseph's Church on Main Street. He and Elda made Waltham their lifelong home where they would raise their beloved daughter, Susan. Together they were very active in the community; Bert was a proud member of the French-American Victory Club, the Moose Lodge, and he and Elda were members of the Saint Joseph's Couples Club. Later they became parishioners of Saint Charles Borromeo Church. He loved catching up with friends over a card game, especially playing '200', and will always be remembered as the loving "Pepere" to his treasured grandchildren, Samuel and Jack.

Bertin made many happy memories each summer visiting family back home in Baie-Ste-Anne, New Brunswick, and loved hunting and fishing in Vermont and New Hampshire.

In addition to his parents, he is reunited in Heaven with his brother, the late Rodrique LeBlanc.

He leaves his wife, Elda of Waltham; his daughter, Susan Dunton (Shawn) of Maynard; his grandchildren, Samuel and Jack Dunton; his siblings, Antoinette Mazerolle (Regis) of Maynard, Raoul LeBlanc (Maria) of Chelmsford, Romeo LeBlanc (Solange) of Clinton, Homere LeBlanc (Catherine) of Illinois, Bernard LeBlanc (Bertha) of New Brunswick, Francois LeBlanc of Waltham, Harvey LeBlanc (Rose-Marie) of New Brunswick and many nieces, nephews and their families.
