Waltham – Mrs. Beverly A. (Pitts) Keough, of Waltham, died Monday, April 2, 2018 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 80.
Beverly was born in Waltham on July 3, 1937, a daughter of the late William and Nellie (Condon) Pitts and had been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Saint Charles High School.
Until her retirement she worked for years as a laboratory technician for Collaborative Research in Waltham and later when they merged with Becton, Dickinson & Company.
She will long be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Beverly and her husband Mike hardly ever missed one of the kids sporting, school and performing events and they were an ever present couple at the Waltham Elks.
Her husband, Michael F. Keough, Jr. died July 28, 2017.
She leaves her children, Deirdre A. Keough, Tara A. McCauley and her husband, Joe, Michael F. Keough, III and his wife, Judy, and Shannon A. Kelleher and her husband, Chris, all of Waltham; her grandchildren, Kaitlin and Joseph McCauley, CJ, Connor, and Liam Kelleher and many nieces and nephews.
Beverly was also a sister of the late William "Buddy" Pitts, Raymond Pitts, Joseph Pitts, George Pitts, Helen Collins, Dorothy DiGregorio, Winifed Crowley, and Arlene Kohler.
Family and friends will honor and remember Beverly's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, April 6th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
